Preparing Hives for some bees
Here I took fencing staples and put them in the corners to keep the bottom hive body from moving off the bottom board. I seen this idea on my friends hives, it works great.
Here I put a couple of hooks on the side of the pallets, this will allow me to keep the tops on and I used one continuous piece of bungee cord. It is tripled up now but with the second brood super and honey supers it will be down to just a single pass. Hope it will give enough tension. I used pallets from a brick layer, nice and short. I had to cut the overhang off on the sides, I fastened the bottom board directly to the pallet so I can transport everything at once
These will have five frame nucs put in them, I will post some pics in a day or two
